Varmala and the ritual pieces

The varmala exchange is the photograph. We make varmala, vermala and haar in fresh and artificial flowers, built to survive being lifted repeatedly rather than only to look right in a still.

We also make floral jewellery, gajras, corsages and boutonnieres, and we sell finished artificial garlands outright for families who want to keep them.

Marigold, and why it matters

Marigold is the backbone of Indian wedding décor and the item we hold the most of — yellow and orange garlands, hung as curtains, draped across frames and strung overhead.

Fresh marigold in Ottawa is seasonal and inconsistent. Our artificial marigold garlands hold an exact colour, survive a full day, and can be built into installations weeks ahead — which for a peak-season Saturday is the difference between the setup you designed and the one the market happened to have that week.
