Guides & answers
What we get asked, answered properly — written from the setup side, by the people who actually build these events.
These are not filler. Each one answers a question Ottawa couples genuinely ask us, and each contains something the generic guides do not — either local specificity, or the practical constraint nobody else mentions.
Why we write them at all. Most of what is published about South Asian weddings online is written for an Indian or Pakistani audience planning a wedding in India or Pakistan. It is often excellent on tradition and useless on logistics, because the logistics here are different: an eight-week outdoor season, venues that prohibit every kind of fixing, a rukhsati that happens in a dark driveway in February, and fresh flowers that do not survive the walk from a car for half the year.
That gap is what these guides fill. They are written from the setup side — by the people who build the events — rather than assembled from other people's blog posts.
Where to start if you are planning a wedding. If you are early in the process, begin with the guide to all seven Pakistani wedding events and the Ottawa décor cost guide — between them they answer what happens, in what order, and what it costs. If you have a date, when to book is the one that will save you a problem. If your wedding falls between November and April, read winter wedding décor before you order any flowers.
Where a figure or a venue capacity appears, we checked it. Where we could not verify something, we say so rather than repeating it. If there is a topic you want covered, message us — if couples are asking it, it is worth writing.
